Rodrigues A. Williams started acting in the Ottawa local theatre scene in 1994 after graduating from Algonquin College’s Dramatic and Performing Arts 2 year Program and the 1 year Dramatic Script Writing program. He left the theatre stages of Ottawa behind to pursue a career in front of the camera and moved to Vancouver B.C. in 1997 to pursue film and television.

Within 10 years, Rod became a Full-Union actor and a member ACTRA (The Alliance of Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) preforming in television commercials and shows. Over the course of a decade, he worked with such actors as the late Luke-Perry (90210), Malcolm Jamal-Warner (The Cosby Show), Nia Vardalos (My Big Fat Greek Wedding) and Victoria Rowell (The Young and the Restless).

In 2008 he switched gears, becoming a Certified Personal Trainer through the Health and Fitness organization Canfit Pro. Rod returned to Ottawa in 2011, and by 2013 was determined to balance both careers.

Over time, he honed his skills in Group Fitness, Small Group & Partner Training, P90X, TRX, Kettlebell, Calisthenics, Spartan and Obstacle Course Race Training, all the while booking acting gigs in Ottawa and Montreal. The Actor/Trainer left Canfit Pro and became certified under American College of Sports Medicine in 2018 and in early 2020 attained his Life Coach Practitioner Certification with The Certified Coaches Federation.

Rod still resides in Ottawa and now navigates the three crafts at once.

What My Clients Are Saying

Approaching 60 is always daunting and I have appreciated how you have inspired me, motivated me and cheered me on through the last year.

After several car accidents and joint/mobility issues you safely and strategically increased my balance, endurance and strength so that now I am confident to do a lot of outdoor exercises and have a more well rounded life. You not only helped me with my physical well being but you also supported my mental wellbeing and I am happier and more optimistic than ever before.  You are the best!

Thank you Rod. I so appreciate the work we did this year together to improve my strength for competitive trampoline. It meant a lot to me that you met and collaborated with my trampoline coach to be sure that the 3 of us were one team. I liked how customized everything was specific to me being 15 and to my sport.  Thank you Rod!
